Today I was telling Tracy about a segment of "The View". The "girls" were asking Dave Stewart (founder of THE EURYTHMICS) how he came to start "THE TRAVELLING WILLBURYS" and he said "Well, I was at home with Bob Dylan one day and Georrge Harrison came over. I went in the house and looked out my back window and saw Bob and George sitting in my back yard playing their guitars and it made me think...I talked to them and we asked Tom (Petty) and Roy (Orbison) to join us." (paraphrased)
I commented on how surreal it was to me that he said this as if just ANYONE could have that group as friends...that his reality was so far removed from mine. Tracy's answer was kinda profound...he said "maybe we don't look out our back windows enough!" That's why I love him.
